        Overview
                            The Wadjemup Cultural Space, known as Kwoba Wirin-up (Good Spirit Place), provides a culturally safe and respectful environment for Aboriginal Traditional Owners, Rottnest Island Authority (RIA) Aboriginal staff, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander visitors to Wadjemup. It is a dedicated place of reflection, yarning and connection to Country for Aboriginal people.

                        It is a dedicated area on Wadjemup designed to support Aboriginal cultural heritage work and provide a culturally safe space for reflection, ceremony and connection to Country.
                    
                
                        The space open to all visitors, with a dedicated purpose for Aboriginal Traditional Owners, RIA Aboriginal staff, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander visitors to Wadjemup. Please respect Aboriginal Peoples’ priority to use this space. 
                    
                
                        Kwoba Wirin-up means Good Spirit Place in Noongar, reflecting the space’s purpose as a place of healing, gathering and cultural safety.
                    
                
                        It was established in response to requests from the Wadjemup Aboriginal Reference Group and Whadjuk Traditional Owners to create a culturally safe and respectful area separate from the Wadjemup Aboriginal Burial Ground.
                    
                
                        The space supports cultural practice, reflection and connection to Country.
