This page provides guidance on how to use the Mooring Licensing Portal for managing your annual admission permits. You’ll find information on how the renewal process works for future boating seasons and how to submit a new application.

Frequently Asked Questions

Annual admission permits purchased in the 2024-25 boating season have not been transferred into the online portal. 2024-25 permits are valid until 31 August 2025.  

To apply for an annual admission permit for the upcoming boating season, you will need to register an account on the Mooring Licensing Portal and submit a new application from 1 September 2025.

Yes, the 2024-25 annual admission permit stickers are valid until 31 August 2025

For the 2025-26 boating season, you will be required to apply for a new annual admission permit. In subsequent seasons, you can then renew your annual admission permit annually online.

To apply for a new annual admission permit, visit the Mooring Licensing Portal and follow the steps below:

  • Register a new account 

  • From your account dashboard, select the ‘Applications’ dropdown arrow 

  • Select ‘New Application’ 

  • Select ‘I want to apply for an annual admission permit’ 

  • Complete the required fields in each of the application tabs 

  • Read the terms and conditions provided at the bottom of the application 

  • If you agree, select ‘I agree to all the RIA terms and conditions’ 

  • Select ‘Submit’
