Works and service improvements are conducted periodically across Rottnest Island
A range of projects are also currently underway to refresh and revitalise Rottnest Island facilities. These works aim to enhance the visitor experience and to preserve the island long term.

The Stay Rottnest accommodation enhancement is a key priority of the Rottnest Island Management Plan 2023-28.
Improvements align with our strategy to maintain high standards for new large-scale offerings, ensuring the future sustainability and appeal of the island's accommodations.
Accommodation upgrades include:
- Modern kitchens and bathrooms
- Fit outs to bedrooms and living areas
- New flooring, fixtures and fittings
- Replacing ageing windows and doors
- Upgrades of balconies and courtyard amenities including barbeques and seating.
Road closures to Temeraire and Katemeraire Roads are in place for the duration of works. Refer to onsite signage for redirection notices or access.
