Honouring the Noongar season of Kambarang, and Whadjuk Noongar culture, Connect to Kambarang is taking place on Rottnest Island from Friday 10 to Sunday 12 October.

The weekend’s program includes free family friendly experiences such as artisan markets, art and craft activities, weaving workshops and cultural yarning.

Connect to Kambarang immerses visitors in the stories and art of Wadjemup’s Traditional Owners and the island’s cultural history.

Alongside Connect to Kambarang, a new exhibition opens at Wadjemup Museum on 10 October.

Titled Connections to Wadjemup, the exhibition features mixed media artwork from 50 Aboriginal artists across Western Australia, sharing their personal connection to Wadjemup.

The artworks reflect personal stories Dreamtime stories, natural landscapes, story lines and regional linkages or connections.

All artwork is available for purchase, with 100% of proceeds going back to artists. Connections to Wadjemup is open until April 2026.
