The Lodge Wadjemup: Complete
Accommodation bookings at The Lodge Wadjemup opened on 6 December 2024 for stays from early 2025. In addition to the accommodation offering, The Lodge Wadjemup’s new hospitality venues: ‘Sunsets Rottnest’ – an all-day Mediterranean restaurant and bar and ‘Pelican’ – a nostalgic soft serve and casual coffee kiosk, opened to the public from Thursday 19 December 2024.
The island’s newest accommodation offering will contribute to improving the island’s accessible tourism and supporting the increasing demand for overnight accommodation.
This achievement is major progress against a key initiative of the Rottnest Island Management Plan (RIMP) 2023-28 to facilitate new accommodation and hospitality developments.
Stage Two of the Lodge Wadjemup was completed in July 2025 with newly constructed poolside rooms, a pool, conference space and Gathering Ground.
