Rottnest Island hosts ATEC Meeting Place 2025
Secured by Tourism WA and Business Events Perth, the event runs 27 – 29 October in Perth and Wadjemup / Rottnest Island. Since the first Meeting Place in 1972, this is just the second time the event has been held in Perth.
Wadjemup / Rottnest Island will host more than 500 delegates for the first day of the three-day conference.
ATEC is the peak industry body for Australia’s tourism export industry, and the annual Meeting Place event facilitates business-to-business appointments, buyer and supplier forums and networking opportunities.
The event enables tourism professionals to discuss ways to build Australia’s tourism export sector. Holding the event on Rottnest Island provides a unique opportunity to showcase trade-ready island tourism businesses to key international tourism buyers.
Meeting Place 2025 supports the Rottnest Island Management Plan 2023-28 focus area to diversify the visitor base and enhance the visitor experience.
Diversifying the visitor base across new markets helps balance demand between slower seasons and peak seasons, ensuring sustainable visitation growth, while creating jobs and supporting local businesses.
