Works and service improvements are conducted periodically across Rottnest Island

A range of projects are also currently underway to refresh and revitalise Rottnest Island facilities. These works aim to enhance the visitor experience and to preserve the island long term.

Geordie Bay Precinct Water Mains and Electrical Network Upgrades | June to August 2024 
Geordie Bay 

Commencing: 17 June 2024   
Completion: 30 August 2024  

A new network of water mains will be installed linking up with Longreach Bay, in addition to electrical conduit and cable pits to support upgraded infrastructure in the Precinct.  

Upgrades will result in increased construction noise and heavy traffic to the sites.

Geordie Bay Water Supply | June to August 2024

Commencing: 24 June 2024   
Completion: 31 August 2024  

Vital upgrades of key water supply assets to Geordie Bay will take place at the northern end of Geordie Bay Road not accessible by the public. Works will occur on the road verge with fencing erected that will not affect traffic.
